History
In 2002, Anne Beiler, of Auntie Anne Pretzel fame, purchased the Kreider Farm in Gap with the vision of building a Community Center complete with local businesses, social services, a church, and a café. She invited the Library to open a branch location within the space. When the Houston Run Community Center officially opened in 2008, The Gap Branch Library had the distinction of being the first library in Lancaster County to have a partnership with a private organization. Many changes have taken place over the years. The building has changed ownership twice and is now owned by The Linville Hill Christian School. Yet, the library has remained and flourished. Visit and you will see why… great staff, fantastic collection, and a beautiful space.
